Washington — “Please stop this non sense already. We’re not free. We’ve never been. We have wives and children and we need to feed them as well.” This was an angry Freemason city head, T. N. Mark, in an interview to Roznama Jawani’s correspondent in Washington. Mark is a strong advocate in an ongoing fight to change the name of the fraternity. “The name has caused us more problems than any other name could’ve!”
Mark is the key figure in the current spat amongst the Freemasons. In the last meeting of the higher ranking Masons Mark raised a “Point-to-Ponder” on the floor that the name “Freemason” makes people think they’ll work for free. “Please let’s deal with this problem once and for all. The other day, my next door neighbor asked me if I could repair his wall for free since I was a ‘free mason’.” Mark floated the idea of changing the name to “PAIDMASONS” and to change the logo back to its original form. The Grand Mason presiding the session had rejected the PTP.
Mark then decided to go loud about this issue. He spoke to Ehtisham at length about their work, the Freemason history, the common myths as well. He said, “Look, I know it’s the name that confuses everyone that we’ll work for them free. But we won’t. Nothing is free why should we be? If people want their things get done that will cost them money.” He said that the former Freemasons took pride in their work and were never known to work for free. But then why the name, one could wonder, “Honestly? Even I don’t know what genius came up with this name. It might’ve been ‘cool’ back then but it creates problems for us. It could have been ‘PAIDMASONS’ or even ‘COOLMASONS’ but if you ask me, I think that guy lacked imagination. And don’t even get me started on the ‘G’ in the logo. What kind of a douchebag does things like this?”
Freemasons have always been accused of being involved in destabilizing International politics and that they have a New World Order in the making which they want to impose on the world. “That is far from the truth!” said the angry Freemason when asked these questions. “The only plan we have is to get our hands on some cement and water, mix them and make something amazing out of it. Why would we want to take over the world? The only New World Order that we have is to make sure that the companies that manufacture cement don’t produce crap. Crappy cement makes our job very difficult.”
Mark says that the Grand Masons are afraid of change and are not ready to accept new and fresh ideas. It seems as if Freemasons have been having these spats for some time now but this was the first time one of the Masons decided to talk to media. Mark said that he will keep on fighting and if need be, will go to the court to seek justice. “Are you a Freejournalist? No! When there are no Freejournalists, Freeplumbers, Freedesigners, Freearchitects, why do Freemasons exist? It should be changed!”
